  • Rufo's set up his hamburger grill 2 summers ago and quickly became a community favorite. He cooks almost everything - burgers, ribs, chicken breast, fish - on his big grill outside and just walks them over to your patio table a few feet away. It's impossible to resist his menu when you round the corner and get a whiff of the smoky food. The waiters are extremely congenial and Rufo makes the rounds of the tables himself, delivering chipotle salsa and chips while you wait for your food, and making sure you have plenty of beer and napkins to compliment the juicy burgers and ribs.

12. Salvador (Website)

  • Salvador's offers a menu of authentic, hearty Mexican food at very generous prices. He claims the enchiladas verde (green enchiladas) are his specialty but many regulars will argue that his chile relleños stuffed with shrimp, his unique camaronillas (shrimp rolls), and his spicy guacamole should be included on that list. The beer is always cold and offered at one of the best prices in town, every hour is happy hour for mixed drinks, and you can get soft drinks from his adjoining shop. Sure, Salvador's is just a few picnic tables and a bar... But you won't notice the rustic setting after your first bite. It's Salvador's definition of "customer service."
